Rob Douglas

Registered Valuer, ANZIV, SNZPI, BBS

Rob graduated in 2000, and has since spent most of this time valuing commercial and residential property throughout Hawke’s Bay. Rob established Added Valuation in 2010, and is Managing Director.

 

Rob’s competencies cover all aspects of urban valuation from residential to commercial. In particular Rob specialises in:

  • Childcare centre’s
  • Residential
  • Residential/lifestyle subdivisions
  • Lifestyle/rural residential property
  • Valuations before and after improvements

John Reid

Registered Valuer, FNZIV, FPINZ, B.Com, Master’s degree (Property Studies)

John has over thirty years valuation experience, and brings to Added Valuation a wealth of knowledge which he is always willing to impart to clients and colleagues alike.

 

John’s clients appreciate the lengths he undertakes to understand their business and requirements and his intrinsic understanding of property market forces.

 

John specialises in the following fields:

 

  • Specialist commercial and industrial valuations
  • Medical facilities valuations
  • Insurance valuations
  • Public work compensations
  • Expert witness and arbitrations
  • Dispute resolution

 

Whilst most of John’s work is within Hawke’s Bay, there are clients elsewhere in New Zealand that John assists with property solutions including an independent third party expert review service. John is also an appointed investigator involved with professional complaints received by New Zealand Institute of Valuers.

 

John’s outstanding service to the industry has been recognised by his peers, who have honoured him with a Fellowship award of New Zealand Institute of Valuer’ and New Zealand Property Institute in 2005.

 

John has strong community interests including Taradale Rotary where he has served as President and also Napier Golf where he is an active competitor.

Laura Wood

Graduate Valuer, BLPM, Majoring in Urban Valuation & Finance

Laura joined Added Valuation in November 2022, after completing a Bachelor of Land and Property Management (BLPM) majoring in Urban Valuation and Finance at Lincoln University. Prior to graduating, Laura gained both commercial and residential valuation experience in Hamilton and Christchurch, which gave Laura a good practical understanding of valuation whilst completing her studies.

 

Laura is responsible for residential and lifestyle valuations within Napier, Hastings and Central Hawke’s Bay. She typically undertakes these market valuations for mortgage lending, sale and purchase purposes, acquisition, subdivision developments, and ‘as is’ and ‘as if complete’ valuations including those off architectural plans.

 

Laura also supports Rob Douglas on commercial and industrial valuation assignments. Her goal is to attain a wide range of valuation experience over the three-year period required to sit for valuation registration in New Zealand.

 

Laura’s attention to detail enables her to determine the key attributes of a property’s value and effectively analyse relevant sale and lease evidence essential to the valuation task. Combined with her organisation skills, she manages projects efficiently, ensuring both timely and thorough results.

Fletcher Miller

Graduate Valuer, BLPM, Majoring in Urban Valuation & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Fletcher joined Added Valuation in January 2025 after completing his Bachelor of Land and Property Management (BLPM) at Lincoln University, majoring in Urban Valuation and Supply Chain Management.

 

He primarily assists Rob Douglas with commercial valuation assignments across the Hawkes Bay region and residential valuations in Hastings and Havelock North. Fletcher is eager to specialise in commercial and industrial valuation while also gaining a solid foundation in residential valuations. His goal is to develop a broad range of valuation experience over the three-year period required to qualify for valuation registration in New Zealand.

 

Committed to delivering high-quality valuations and exceptional service, Fletcher is dedicated to meeting clients’ needs with professionalism and attention to detail.

 

Having quickly made Hawke’s Bay his home, he is actively building industry connections. In his spare time, Fletcher enjoys fishing and catching up with friends.

Milly McLeod

Graduate Valuer, BLPM, Majoring in urban and rural valuation

Milly joined Added Valuation in February 2025, after completing a Bachelor of Land and Property Management (BLPM) majoring in Urban and Rural Valuation at Lincoln University.

 

Milly mostly undertakes valuations on residential and lifestyle properties within the Napier, Hastings and Central Hawkes Bay. Milly is passionate about providing accurate and insightful property valuations, and enjoys the dynamic nature of the valuation industry.

 

Her goal is to become a registered valuer, developing her expertise in the industry and building strong relationships with clients.

 

Milly heralds from NZ’s deep south, and enjoys sports and the outdoors, and enjoys the opportunity to blend this interest when undertaking lifestyle valuations.

Terry Rawcliffe

Retired

After over 40 years working as a property valuer in Hawke’s Bay, Terry Rawcliffe decided to hang up his boots in March 2016. These days Terry is more commonly spotted frequenting many of the regions cafes or working in his garden.

 

We sincerely thank Terry for his contribution to the valuation profession and Added Valuation.

 

Added Valuation keep a complete record of all Terry’s valuation and file notes, so are well placed to assist you with any property he has previously valued. We also maintain regular contact with Terry, who is always happy to help out with any questions we might have.

 

We wish Terry all the very best for all his future endeavours.
